The credit union movement is more than 100 years old. As a member of the Teamsters Credit Union, you’re part of a movement that can find its roots in the last 19th century. That’s when some thought an alternative to traditional banks was necessary to provide better service to depositors. Credit Unions are a cooperative operation; that is, they are run by their members with “profits” given back to the membership in the form of dividends and better savings and lending rates.
Today, Teamsters Credit Union is a community-based financial institution – which means you do NOT have to be a card-carrying member of the Teamsters Union. You just need to live work or worship in the Wayne County area. Today, we have more than 2,400 members.
